This is not a remote position, candidates are expected to be on campus on weekdays during the study period. There will be a diverse set of tasks that can be taken up: interns can learn to apply SOTA techniques to create robot behaviour modules spanning areas such as vision, speech, navigation. Opportunities for publication in conferences targeting HRI, field robotics, AI for Social Good.
Desired Skillset
They will be responsible for designing and implementing complex robot behaviours such as trajectory planning under various conditions for motor activities with the children, co-ordinating with the occupational therapists of the children to design the tasks with robot car, and creating SOTA speech recognition models for robust, real-time use by the Special Educators during the HRI study. This is not a remote position. Candidates who have done projects in similar areas would be preferred. Opportunities for publication in conferences targeting HRI, field robotics, AI for Social Good.
